I’m a nerd. I’m an engineer. I bought a house. The result is inevitable…
I like using Home Automation to have my house respond to (and, if possible, anticipate) my needs. From the simple things like having a motion detector turn on the lights in the kitchen and living room when I stumble out of the bedroom in the morning looking for caffeine, to more sophisticated things like turning on motion detectors and setting back the thermostat when I leave home, I keep working on making my house more intelligent.
Some things work, some things work well, and some things don’t work. I figured I’d start a blog to start sharing some of those experiences.
